a RAW look
Initially a graphic design intern then hired on full-time (over 20 years ago), I quickly adapted my creative skills to fit into the digital media world with front-end web design and site management. Over the past 10+ years, my primary focus shifted to video (videography and editing) while still remaining engaged and involved in design. In recent years, I added audio (recording/editing) and motion graphics to my portfolio.
I was promoted to Creative Director in 2019, overseeing the digital marketing side of the business. I led three creative personnel; a copywriter, videographer/ video editor and website/graphic designer, and together we significantly increased Garland’s online presence and initiated numerous strategies to drive sales. Working under the Garland Industries umbrella, our team oversaw projects for 10 of the companies in the building materials space.
I prefer to look through the lens of positivity, progress and possibilities. I'm most myself when using insightful and creative processes to problem solve and explore new and refined ways of doing things. Don't just "say," do.
Am I imperfect? Absolutely.
But when it comes to my work, I will always strive for perfection, expand boundaries and explore uncharted territories. Striving for accuracy with all tasks and an extreme attention to detail are two of my defining character traits.
All this while maintaining a good sense of humor and having fun. Also, my youngest child wants everyone to know I'm a good cook. It has nothing to do with my work, but it may come in handy at a potluck.
Time for my next challenge.
